A new Form-ism figure of Kaine from NieR Replicant will release in Japan on December 27, 2025. The figure costs 7,700 yen (or approximately $52,27), and it is now available for pre-order from the Square Enix online e-store.

Additionally, the European Square Enix online store has a listing for the figure for 69.99‎€ (~$81,78.) The European release date for the Form-ism Kaine figure is May 2026. And while there is currently no information on a North American release, we can expect to see an announcement in the near future.

The static figure is approximately 18cm tall (or about 7.09 inches). In the figure, Kaine is wearing her signature blue lacey dress, with her left arm and leg also covered in bandages. Additionally, Kaine carries her twin swords in each hand, prepared for battle in an elegant combat pose.

As a reminder, Square Enix recently revealed that the NieR Poster Collection will come out overseas sometime along 2026, alongside the FFVII Rebirth: Material Ultimania and the FFIX Picture Book.

If you’ve ever played one of Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball games, you know the company consistently supports them. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 came out almost 10 years ago. It got an add-on based on the Dragon Ball Daima new spin-off anime back in May 2025 and Future Saga updates in 2024. It’s totally plausible and even expected for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot to get its own Daima DLC five years after that installment’s debut and, after some initial time spent with it, it seems 

For those familiar with Dragon Ball Daima, I feel like the add-on starts off by quickly getting us introduced to the spin-off’s new characters and shuttled off to the Demon Realm where the story takes place. If you didn’t watch that show, it’s pretty good at quickly and concisely getting you started. As a quick summary, new Supreme Demon King Gomah got the Dragon Balls. He wished Goku and his allies would become kids. He took Earth’s Guardian Dende. The bad news for Gomah is that Goku was still super powerful as a kid. He and Supreme Kai Shin (also turned into a child) end up going into the Demon Realm with new allies Panzy (was a child even before the wish) and Glorio (the only “adult”) to save Dende and show Gomah what for. 

I really appreciated how quickly things get going. Which is a necessity here, since the whole point of the add-on is to get access to this new space, its original quests and characters, and the adventure tied to it. I experienced only the first parts. It’s a pretty solid introduction to this new story. I think that will bode especially well for newcomers, since the banter between existing characters like Goku and Shin works well, and this add-on maintains the same relationship I enjoyed between him and Glorio and Panzy for the parts I went through. I don’t feel like someone new to this story would feel left out. 

There are also marked design decisions present to make the Daima Demon Realm feel different than other places we’ve been in Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. CyberConnect 2 made it look different, naturally. We’re also forced to explore it all on foot. This makes it feel like a more traditional type of open-world experience, and I also felt it encouraged me to do a little more exploring and investigating since I couldn’t just fly up and check out everything from above. Also, seeing his crew around him, running alongside as you explore areas, is just a nice touch and makes it feel a bit more like the newest anime.

This decision also changes combat. Since this is a child version of Goku, our moveset is a bit different. He’s still going to use ki, but I appreciated the enhanced focus on using his Power Pole. It genuinely reminded me of watching the original Dragon Ball anime after school as a kid. The inability to fly comes up in fights as well. This means different types of evasive maneuvers or pursual tactics need to be employed to dodge or get in close for attacks. 

The first part of the Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Daima DLC seems like it could be a really worthwhile adventure. The brief segment I sampled seemed surprisingly large. It added a new type of gameplay experience that remained true to the source material. It could also serve as a good introduction to that storyline for folks who didn’t catch the series yet. I’m excited to see more. Especially since CyberConnect 2 made sure we get introduced to and comfortable with the new world so swiftly.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the first part of the Daima DLC debuts on July 17, 2025. The second part of the add-on’s story will arrive in 2026. The Dragon Ball Daima anime is streaming on Crunchyroll.

The Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories playing cards, which are designed to resemble the cards used to make decks and attack in Chain of Memories and the PS2 remake, will be sold once again. The Japanese Square Enix e-Store listing is live ahead of its November 29, 2025 return. It will cost 3,080円 (~$21). 

This is a standard deck of playing, but they’re designed to look like the cards we used in both Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Re:Chain of Memories to attack. This means that many still feature the same designs of Keyblades and characters on them. In the bottom right corner of each, there’s a circle with the number/rank, and the suit is noted there as well. Each one has a crown shape at the top, just like the cards in-game. You end up with 54 cards total, with two being Jokers.

We’ve seen these Kingdom Hearts playing cards before. They first showed up in September 2023. Those did appear worldwide, though the US Square Enix store doesn’t currently have a pre-order listing for this new run of the deck.

The Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories playing cards deck returns to Japan on November 29, 2025. The original Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories appeared on the GBA, and the remake showed up on the PS2. The PS2 version of the game is also found in Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix.

During the Tekken Summer Updates trailer, we got to see the free DLC that will be available in both Atelier Yumia and Tekken 8 as part of the promised crossover event. The Gust JRPG’s cosmetics will be in Tekken 8 starting on July 8, 2025. The fighting game outfit and quest will be in the JRPG once July 23, 2025 arrives.

The Tekken 8 items are a bit more subdued. Two accessories will be in the free section and can be used with any character. One is a floating Puni slime that appears behind the fighter’s left shoulder. You can also get the special art for the crossover as a profile background, plates, and an avatar t-shirt. The other is an ahoge that resembles’ Yumia’s hair curl. 

The Atelier Yumia crossover with Tekken 8 seems a bit more involved. The portion of the Tekken Summer Updatesshows the start of a side quest that has Viktor sending Yumia to a certain place for a challenge. He also mentioned she should wear the outfit provided. The outfit is the Tekken Collab Costume that makes Yumia look like Reina. That mission involves facing a Heihachi Puni.

The last Atelier Yumia crossover involved another Bandai Namco series. A Tales of Graces f costume is available for free for the game.

Square Enix released Final Fantasy IX in Japan on July 7, 2000, and it shared a special movie video and kicked off a 25th Anniversary official Fan Art Project to celebrate. This follows up on other promotions to honor this Final Fantasy title, like Zoff glasses and Adorable Arts figures. The art collection takes place between July 7, 2025 and October 31, 2025, and is divided by region. As an example, folks in North America, Europe, Oceania, South America, Africa, and some regions and Asia submit to one site and people in Japan turn in designs to another one.

First, here’s the Final Fantasy IX 25th Anniversary Special Movie. This video features major moments from this installment. As it does, the theme song “Melodies of Life” plays. There are some spoilers shown in it, particularly involving Dagger, so keep that in mind if you watch and aren’t familiar with this installment.

In the case of the Final Fantasy IX 25th Anniversary Fan Art Project, this is not a contest. It is a collection of works for display. If someone submits digital or pictures of non-digital art, it could be highlighted on the official site, during events, and on social media. People can submit on the site for their region. The notice did state “Please note that the presentation of the fan art, including any resizing, partial display, cropping, printing, modifications, or whether or not the nickname is displayed, will be determined at the discretion of SQUARE ENIX Co., Ltd. Please submit your application only if you agree to these terms.” Submitted a work doesn’t guarantee Square Enix will use it, but if the company does the artist is granting a license to use it for promotional purposes for free.

Final Fantasy IX can be found on the PlayStation, PS4, Switch, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices. The 25th Anniversary Fan Art Project works can be submitted until October 31, 2025.

SuperGroupies announced three new additions to the NieR: Automata merchandise line, which consist of a jacket inspired by YoRHa and two types of bags. All of them are expected to launch in early December 2025. Pre-orders are open, and they will ship worldwide. Each one is meant to celebrate the 15th anniversary.

There are no photos of the new pieces of SuperGroupies NieR: Automata merchandise yet, so we can’t see how the jacket and bags will look in real-life. Only concept art for all three pieces appeared. The YoRHa Unit Model Outerwear will be most expensive at ¥25,300 (~$176). That is a unisex coat that will appear in sizes medium through XXL. The YoRHa Unit Model 2way Tote Bag will be ¥20,900 (~$146). The “2way” in the title references how you could use the handles or the longer strap for carrying it. Finally the Scented Sachet Model Drawstring Pouch costs ¥6,050 (~$42). While scented is in the name, SuperGroupies didn’t mention if there will be a smell to it.

Quite a few collections based on the game and anime appeared at SuperGroupies. The first announced in 2023 featured a watch and two wallets. Those restocked and new bags appeared in 2024. 

The SuperGroupies NieR: Automata merchandise will debut in December 2025, though it’s unknown if we’ll see physical samples of the jacket and two bags before then. The game is available on the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and Windows PC. The anime adaptation is streaming via Crunchyroll.

Square Enix announced it will hold a “NieR Summer Vacation – Request Hour” game music stream in honor of the series’ 15th anniversary on YouTube on July 6, 2025. Keiichi Okabe and Yoko Taro confirmed they will appear during it. It will consist of two parts, with people able to request tracks for the portion starting at 2am ET/3pm JST via Niconico.

The first portion of the chat is called Drive DJ. That’s the one in which will only involve music from the NieR series. The second part is when people associated with the series will appear at 6am ET/7pm JST. In addition to creator Yoko Taro and composer Keiichi Okabe appearing during that part, producer Yosuke Saito and designer Takahisa Taura will be present.

We’ll hear NieR series music in another way soon too. Okabe and MONACA worked on Square Enix Vocal Covers: Timeless Classics, which debuted on June 25, 2025 in Japan. That featured “Weight of the World” from NieR: Automata and “Kaine / Salvation” from NieR Replicant and Gestalt.

NieR first appeared on the PS3 and Xbox 360, with the Replicant release showing up on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. NieR: Automata is available on the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and Windows PC, and the anime adaptation is streaming via Crunchyroll.

The Hollow Knight Nendoroids of The Knight and Hornet that debuted in 2023 in Japan and 2024 worldwide are poised to return alongside Hollow Knight: Silksong. While they cost $43.99 back then, they are $41.99/¥6,400 now. They will debut in September 2025 in Japan, followed by a worldwide release in 2026 after that. 

The rereleases are identical to the original run, so don’t expect any additional parts or face plates. The Knight comes with a standard cloak and one that looks like it’s caught up in the wind. The Nail weapon is available to wield, and there’s an effect part for its attacks. There’s also a Knightling accessory. Likewise, Hornet comes with two cloak options, her Needle weapon, attack effects, and a Cogfly. Both come with special bases if purchased directly through Good Smile Company.

There’s still no Hollow Knight: Silksong release date window beyond 2025. It will be playable at the ACMI Game Worlds museum starting on September 18, 2025, plus the SteamDB reported changes to the product page, so the release is likely imminent.

Atlus announced that it is now selling both new Persona 4 Golden plush character keychains, with Tohru Adachi and Nanako Dojima among the designs. These are on Ebten, which ships worldwide through WorldShopping, and stores like AmiAmi are also offering them. These cost 1,760円 (~$12), and they’ll ship in November 2025.

Each of these Persona 4 Golden plush keychains are about 11cm tall (110mm), regardless of how tall characters are in the game, so Nanako is the same size as Adachi. In the case of characters who are old enough to be in school, they wear their uniforms. So that applies to Kanji Tatsumi, Naoto Shirogane, and Rise Kujikawa are all dressed for school. Adachi is in his suit he wears for work, while Nanako wears her trademark red and pink dress. Teddy appears in his bear mascot form. 

As for the returning characters, they’re all wearing their school uniforms. The protagonist, Chie Satonaka, Yukiko Amagi, and Yosuke Hanamura are all ready for class. The last time we saw them was in October 2024.

The next PSO2 New Genesis crossover came up during the NGS Headline Wave showcase on June 24, 2025, and it confirmed Touhou Project character costumes and music will appear in the MMORPG. There’s no exact release date, but it all will show up starting in August 2025. 

Rather than being based on one of the more recent entries in the Touhou Project series, the PSO2 New Genesis crossover will tap into Touhou Koumakyou: The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. This installment involved the notable Scarlet Mist Incident, which involved Reimu and Marisa investigating a strange mist leaking out of the Scarlet Devil Mansion. The two antagonists in that installment are Remilia and Flandre Scarlet. 

The announcement during the showcase didn’t bring up what we’ll see during this crossover event. Art of Reimu and Marisa did appear on the slide. Since they’re the leads of that entry and two of the most notable Touhou Project characters, odds are the cosmetic items will involve both of them. Due to the prominence of Remilia and Scarlet in the installment, we could see them too. Music Discs based on the game, which will include the versions of songs from Touhou Project that appeared in other Sega games, will appear.

Bandai Spirits announced an upcoming Ichiban Kuji for NieR Automata Ver1.1a. It will come out in stores from October 17, 2025.

Each attempt will cost 900 JPY, which converts to approximately $6.20. The NieR Automata Ver1.1a Ichiban Kuji lottery will be available via the official physical and online Ichiban Kuji store. In total, there will be eleven different prizes, including a Last One Prize and a Double Chance Campaign. So far, Bandai Spirits only posted the images of the Last One Prize and the first three rewards. They are:

• A Prize: A2 figure
• B Prize: 2B figure
• C Prize: 9S figure
• Last One Prize: A2 art scale figure

The Last One version of the A2 figure is a bust. Meanwhile, the A Prize figure depicts her after she cuts her hair short. As for the B and C Prizes of 2B and 9S, they’re both sitting down while holding out their black box. If you have both of them and place them next to each other, you can recreate a memorable and emotional scene from the game. The A, B, and C prizes all depict key moments from the game and anime series, so there's the possibility that the other prizes will follow that same pattern.

NieR Automata is readily available on the PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC. The anime adaptation, NieR Automata Ver1.1a, is available on streaming platforms like Crunchyroll. Finally, the NieR Automata Ver1.1a Ichiban Kuji lottery will become available in Japan from October 17, 2025.

Atlus and McFarlane announced that the Persona 3 Reload protagonist will be turned into an Elite Edition action figure. We don’t know a release date yet. However, we do know McFarlane will start taking pre-orders for the item on July 3, 2025. 

A first photo showed the box and some of the character’s accessories. He’ll wear his outfit for heading into Tartarus and come equipped with a sword and an Evoker. There will be seven hand parts included for different poses. Four face plates will be in the set for different expressions too. The collectible art cards included with it will be the Fool Arcana one representing the SEES social link and one of the figure’s box art in a matching white stand.

We can get an idea of what this action figure might cost. The Diablo IV Lilith and DOOM: The Dark Ages DOOM Slayer ones each cost $59.99. Both also stood at seven inches tall, so the Persona 3 Reload one should be about that height too. 

This isn’t the only new figure based on a character from the series on the way. Prime 1 Studios announced it is making some too. We don’t know which characters will be a part of that lineup yet, however. 

Persona 3 Reload is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC, and the McFarlane Elite Edition protagonist figure will be available to pre-order starting on July 3, 2025.

Prime 1 Studio announced it will start making figures of characters from Atlus games Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio. The reveals came up during its Next Level Showcase XIV: The Bridges Between Worlds presentation on June 20, 2025. It didn’t make any specific announcements regarding which folks will be represented. 

In both cases, the Prime 1 Studio Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio figure reveals were quite vague. Only the game logos appeared. Each one did note that “collectibles” would be made, which means we’ll likely see multiple items based on different characters from these series. In the case of Persona, it specifically mentioned the remake, so designs will be based on the appearances from that game.

The Persona 3 Reload and Metaphor: ReFantazio figures won’t be the first Atlus games to inspire Prime 1 Studio items. The studio worked on Persona 5 ones in the past. People could get Makoto “Queen” Niijima alone or with her Persona Johanna. Joker appeared too.

Persona 3 Reload is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. Metaphor: ReFantazio is on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Koei Tecmo shared the free Atelier Yumia outfit inspired by Tales of Graces f, with the DLC available now worldwide on all platforms. There is also a free Falbra Thicket location people can get by downloading an additional map add-on. The paid Atelier Series Legacy BGM and Gust Extra BGM Packs also launched on June 23, 2025.

In the case of the costume, people who get the free Tales of Graces f DLC outfit can dress Yumia like Asbel in Atelier Yumia. Koei Tecmo and Bandai Namco first announced it in March 2025. Only teaser art appeared at the time, so this is our first opportunity to see it in action. It will be immediately available once you unlock the Dressing Room.

As for the new map, it adds Ligneus’ Falbra Thicket. This isn’t just a place to gather items. The Alber live there, and you can interact with them and take side quests tied to those characters. A Building Area and Pioneering Effort also appear. It isn’t immediately accessible. Someone needs to download the DLC, then go through the quest "The Alber Settlement.” Legendary is available now in an update, as are the Energy Sphere and Projector Feature Modules and Kurken Island architecture.

Finally, the paid DLC involves 1,400 Atelier series songs. These cover classic games through more modern releases. The screenshots showed Atelier Elie, Atelier Lilie, Atelier Judie, Atelier Viorate, Atelier Iris 1-3, Mana Khemia 1-2, Atelier Rorona and its Plus release, Atelier Totori, Atelier Meruru, Atelier Lulua, Atelier Ayesha, Atelier Escha & Logy, Atelier Shallie, and Atelier Sophie. The official site mentioned Atelier Marie and Atelier Ryza 2. Atelier Series Legacy BGM Pack consists of around 1,000 songs, while Gust Extra BGM Pack has 400.

The Resident Evil 4 Ada Wong Nendoroid is already up for pre-order just days after Good Smile Company revealed it during Smile Fest 2025. She will cost ￥6,800 when she comes out in Japan in December 2025. She’ll be $44.99 when she heads to the US and Canada in Q2 2026. Most notable, she includes the critical Jet-Ski key with teddy bear keychain.

All of Ada’s face plates and accessories are references to her appearances in the game. The teddy bear keychain is attached to the Jet-Ski Key she gives to Leon S. Kennedy at the end of Resident Evil 4, and Good Smile Company recreated that moment for the photo shoot promoting the figure. Her Blacktail AC handgun and TMP submachine gun are available to wield, as is her hookshot. She only comes with two face plates, one stoic and one slightly smiling.

This means by this time next year, there will be three Resident Evil figures in this line. Chris Redfield and Leon S. Kennedy Nendoroids already showed up.

The Resident Evil 4 Ada Wong Nendoroid comes to Japan in December 2025, and the North American release window for the figure is Q2 2026. Pre-orders close on August 6, 2025. The original game can be found on the PS2, PS3, PS5, Switch, GameCube, Wii, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. There’s also a version on the Meta Quest 2. The remake can be found on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile devices.
